The Business Development Manager (Utility Scale) required to support Company’s Utility Scale Renewable Development business in SEA countries. Reporting directly to Group CEO and Executive Director, this position is required to manage the process of project acquisition, assess, formalize development, eventually commercial operation process.

This position is open to Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines and China.

Duties and responsibilities
  • To identifies, evaluates, develops and execution on the project acquisition opportunities that support the business objectives of the Utility Scale Renewables Business, i.e. Solar, Wind and Storage by applying the combination of technical, project and risk management knowledge to identify and complete development of utility-scale renewable energy generation facility opportunities.
  • To evaluate financial models, preparing project development plans and implementing such plans, including resource assessments, development studies, landowner relationships/agreements etc.
  • To maintain healthy pipeline of development projects by expanding or maintaining existing company relationships with existing partners and contacts, as well as exploring ways to improve relationship and establish new strategic partnership.
  • To report developmental pipeline progress, timely responses to bids as well as to manage internal and external resources that will perform preliminary evaluation of development opportunities, conducting fatal flaw analyses, asset valuations, due diligence and negotiate contract for acquisition of renewable energy assets/ developments.
  • Ensure that grid connection requirements are assessed and studied in order to ensure Power Plant Grid connectivity and supports grid team with network connection applications and agreements including interfacing with utilities
